Disney World! Legit my favorite place on earth. Often when I write about, post about it or talk about it people roll their eyes at me, laugh at me, or ask a million questions because they just don’t get it.
I actually hadn’t been to Disney till I was 22… my lovely fiance took me there as our first trip together, and I was hooked! Its a feeling that is hard to describe. I grew up watching Disney movies, and obsessing. My little sister, the 2 girls next door and I would stand in front of the t.v watching the little mermaid and sing along. I knew I was going to grow up to be a Disney Princess!
I didn’t know what to expect the first time we went. I was excited of course… but did not expect the parks to captivate me the way that they did. Our first day was at Epcot… not even the park with the castle… and the fireworks show still had me in tears. That’s what Disney is the best at… giving you all the feels. It may seem strange to some, or a one time thing kind of vacation, but if I could live in the park, I would.
My fiance has said so many times that he wishes he had recorded me the first time I walked down Main Street and saw the castle in Disney World. Its a magic that swifts you off your feet as soon as you allow it to. And trust me… let it. When you are in the parks let the magic grab hold of you and immerse yourself in as much of it as you can.
Having something you can refer back to to bring you happiness is important. We all have days that are difficult, and having memories that bring you utter happiness are amazing for looking back at. Health is not just about what you put in your body and how you move it… it is about keeping your mind and soul happy as well. If everyone had something in their life that made them as happy as Disney makes me, then the world would be a much happier place!
To me it’s a spot that I can let go of all worries. Its a spot where you can let your guard down and no one is going to judge you. Even going to the parks solo is amazing and magical. Our first trip to Disney, day 1 my fiance told me he loved me. On our 4th trip to Disney, day 1 he asked me to marry him. It really is the most magical place on earth <3
This is a love I am so glad to have within me. Something that makes me this happy, and this excited. I urge you to find something that gets you excited. Snowboarding, painting, travel, cooking… Disney! Something that can get your mind in a happy place.
What brings you happiness?
And we all lived healthy and happily ever after <3
